A little local perspective

Driving around Aroona.

Local trips give you plenty to think about, even when you know the way. Aroona Park has street parking on Miranda Street, while Ridgehaven Park stretches between Beerburrum Street and Kalana Road.

1

Pulling up on Miranda Street

Parking by Aroona Park means slowing down and pulling in at the roadside. If that feels awkward, tell Nathan you'd like help with stopping close to the kerb.

2

Looking out for people

Aroona Park has paths and a playground. Keep looking for people near parked cars while you find a space, and check around you again before moving off.

Knowing which end you're heading to

Ridgehaven Park has two play areas linked by paths. Check which end you want before setting off, so you aren't trying to work it out as you drive past.

For parents and supervising drivers

Ask what the learner is working on and how practice between lessons can support it. A licence is the milestone; safe driving for life is the bigger picture.
