What Petrie Learners Say About RAC
Real learners, real licences. Every review below is from someone taught by an instructor who covers Petrie.
“Muzzy is booked out for a reason! He freed me of my fear of getting back out on the road, in no time at all. I learned so much from him and genuinely enjoyed my lessons.”
“I passed my test with Julie like a breeze! After failing 3 times with previous instructors and a lot of nerves behind me, Julie really helped build my confidence and made me feel at ease behind the wheel.”
“Having tried a handful of driving schools in the Redlands, I can confidently say RAC School of Motoring, particularly instructor Brittany Mason, offers the best experience in the area.”
“Ejaz was amazing! Before I started having lessons with Ejaz I failed my test a couple of times, and today I passed. He explained things perfectly and took the time to understand where my mistakes were coming from.”
“I highly recommend Mirza! Thanks to his excellent teaching, patience and encouragement, I passed my driving test on my first attempt. He always made lessons calm and enjoyable.”
“Had a fantastic experience with the instructor James. He is very patient and knowledgeable, with a good understanding of his students, and adapts his teaching to their learning style.”
“I had my test package with Abdul, and he is very professional and knowledgeable. Better service, better value for money, and I would highly recommend their services.”
“Had Glen as my instructor for my manual licence. Fantastic, taught me everything I needed to know to pass the test, and extremely knowledgeable in road laws as well as driving techniques.”

The roads you'll learn on
Manual & Automatic Driving Lessons Petrie
Most first lessons in Petrie start on the calmer residential streets around the local schools. Eacham Street, where Kurwongbah State School sits, and Armstrong Street, home to Mt Maria College and Our Lady of the Way, are the kind of unhurried streets where you can sort clutch control, mirror habits and gentle steering without a queue of cars behind you. Outside school drop-off they are quiet enough to make a small mistake on and learn from, which is exactly what those early hours are for.
When the basics start to feel automatic, Dayboro Road steps things up. It carries the traffic past Petrie State School and threads through the heart of the suburb, so it brings the busier give-way calls, turns across oncoming cars and school-zone timing that a licence really puts to the test. We move you onto it in stages, so heavier driving is something you ease into rather than something dropped on you all at once.
Where you'll sit the test
Pre-Test Driving Lessons Petrie, Your Strathpine Test
The nearest practical test centre to Petrie is Strathpine, a few kilometres away. TMR doesn't tie you to any one centre, but Strathpine is the natural choice for Petrie learners, so we spend your pre-test lessons on its actual streets, getting a feel for how its intersections and give-way calls flow. Every test-day package includes a warm-up lesson beforehand and the car for the test itself.
Driving lessons Petrie families count on
Get your Licence, and everything changes
A licence changes more than it first looks like it will. In Petrie it is the difference between waiting on a lift and simply going: to work, to training, to a mate's place a couple of suburbs over. For a lot of learners here it is the first real step into running their own week on their own terms.
We build toward that pass steadily. As a driving school Petrie families come back to, we lean hard on local knowledge: your instructor already knows the Petrie streets, which corners near the schools get busy and when, and the Strathpine roads your test will use. That local read is what keeps lessons calm and pointed squarely at the things that actually come up on the day.
A licence lands differently in a town like Petrie, where the next suburb is a drive and the train only gets you so far. The driving school Petrie learners tell their mates about is the one whose instructor knows the school-street timings and the calmest way through to the test, and who turns up at your door to teach it.
