Good to know
Manual driving lessons, answered.
Is manual harder to learn than automatic?
There's a bit more to it, mainly the clutch and gear changes, so most learners take a few more lessons than they would in an automatic. Manual lessons help you practise clutch control and changing gears.
How many manual lessons will I need?
It depends where you're starting from. Learning and test readiness depend on your experience, practice and progress. Discuss a lesson plan and your preferred transmission with your instructor.
Does a manual licence let me drive automatics?
Yes. A manual licence covers you for both manual and automatic cars, so it's the more flexible option. An automatic licence only covers automatics, which is the main reason some learners choose manual from the start.
Will you sort out my clutch control?
That's exactly what we do. Our instructors are patient specialists at getting learners smooth off the line without stalling stress. Lessons follow a calm, patient approach so you can learn at your own pace.
Do the lessons count toward my logbook?
Eligible Queensland learner hours with an accredited trainer can count at triple time for the first ten driving hours. Night hours and bonus time have separate recording rules. Your instructor signs it off on the spot. Queensland learner logbook guidance

Learning to drive manual in Brisbane
Learning a manual is really about one thing: clutch control. Get that smooth and the rest follows. Our instructors take it step by step, calm and unhurried, so hill starts, gear changes and busy intersections stop feeling scary. It's the licence that lets you drive utes, vans and work vehicles, which is why so many Brisbane learners choose it.
